Go beyond the one right answer mind set and you will find many possible answers, some even better than your first idea.

Use brainstorming for your problem solving because life may surprise you with more than one right answer.

We were taught in school that there is only one right answer - usually the one at the back of the book. In life and in business there is seldom only one answer. We need to look at options, compare them, sometimes develop a pro and con list for the options, and then make a choice. Problem solving in business should be like inventing was for Thomas Edison, who always expected to explore lots of options including many that didn't work out.

To invent, you need a good imagination and a pile of junk. (Thomas A. Edison 1847-1931)

In business, we need to seek as many good options as possible before making a choice.

It's time to get out of the rut of looking for the one answer when there may be many right answers. Instead use techniques that will cause you to come up with as many answers as possible including some that are hilarious and some that could work.

Outrageous is good!

Outrageous answers can make brainstorming fun and, more important, much more productive with real life solutions. Outrageous and interesting, unusual and out of the box, crazy and 'well what if we could do that' kinds of ideas, once explored as possibilities, often turn out to be both innovative and a great solution.

Get out of your comfort zone and into your great ideas zone.

How do you motivate the whole team to think different, think more creatively, with innovation as a goal?

How can you do that?
How can you do it every time you need to brainstorm?
Do you need to get yourself or others motivated to work more creatively?
To come up with more innovative solutions to problems pull everyone out of their comfort zone and into the great new ideas zone with new and different brainstorming techniques.
